MOCCASIN CRAFT (MARCH 14, noon - five)
Learn to make center-seam and/or Paleolithic styled footwear and walk softly on Mother Earth!

FIRE & FIBER CRAFT WEEKEND: (May 2, 10 am - May 3, 5 pm)
Saturday May 2, Fire Craft- basics of friction fire starting with the bow-drill and hand-drill, collection and preparation of wood and plant species, open fire construction and use. A must for wilderness survival or woods living.

Sunday May 3 Fiber Craft- hands and leg cording techniques using wild plants. Make your own rope from the wild! Also learn finger weaving-an ancient art enabling the making of sashes, straps, and tumplines without a loom.

NUTRITION & HEALTH IN THE WILD (MAY 23, 10 am - May 24, 5pm)
Edible and medicinal plants, preparation of wild foods and medicines, drying and storage of meat, berries and plants, outdoor hygiene, survival food procurement and more.

SWEAT LODGE BUILDING & CEREMONY (JUNE 20, noon -??)
Come help in the construction of a sweat lodge and experience this ancient cleansing ritual known to many parts of the world.

NATURAL LIVING PHILOSOPHY (JUNE 27, 10 am - ??)
Becoming connected with and immersed in the natural world, overcoming fears, attitudes & approaches to outdoor living, listening to inner voice, awareness, and sweat lodge experience for the evening.

YOUNG PRIMITIVES CAMPS (JULY 11-12 // JULY 25-26)
Kids ages 9-14 will step back in time for a weekend, overnight stay of primitive living. Potential crafts and skills include friction fire making, open fire cooking, clay bowls, coal burned spoons, setting a small game trap, rope from plant fibers, learning sounds and signs of the woods, camouflage, stalking, tracking, knife care and use, direction finding, dealing with bugs, songs and stories, and more. Register early, participant numbers are kept low for one on one attention from Brent.

NATURAL FOOD CONTAINERS & UTENSILS (AUGUST 8, 9am - AUGUST 9, 6pm)
Primitive methods of testing clay, purifying clay, aging, wedging, construction techniques, drying and burnishing, and outdoor firing of clay mugs and bowls. Coal burned spoons, forks and chop sticks. Come make all your food wares with natural materials!

LEATHER CRAFT (AUGUST 22, 9am - AUGUST 23, 5pm)
The ancient skills of braintanning animal skins and pelts for clothing, footwear, headgear, bags and other necessities are taught. Wet and dry scrape methods, smoking, dying, and sewing techniques included.

SHELTER CRAFT (September 12-13)
Projects of temporary and semi-permanent shelter building using native construction techniques and materials.

BARK CRAFT (OCTOBER 17, 10am - 3pm)
Construction of bark baskets and containers with tree bark & roots for sewing materials.


To register right down your name, address and course you are interested in with a $100 deposit to secure your place to the address below. The remaining balance may be paid upon arrival.



The Wildwoods Wisdom Program offers work-study scholarships for 1/2 the tuition cost. Interested parties should sent a letter detailing their availability/interests are in helping this small "homestead".
